Quartermaster’s log day 8, 10th June 2014
Today we saw green lights across the board.
Everything just fell into place as Dave and I worked our magic on the raw lumps of clay most men would call ideas. Like the master artists of bygone years we shaped these raw ugly lumps into things of beauty, artifacts so ponderous they make men and Gods alike weep at their loveliness.
After knocking out some of the more mundane stuff like website and budget work, we were able to get some excellent adjustments made to the script, including a truly inspiring opening sequence.
I was quite proud of what we came up with and I think its really going to make our video stand out.
I also did some research and found out that Duke university has a marine science lab located along the coast in NC which studies, among other things, the current state and upkeep of the ICW.
I’m going to begin work on a proposal to collect data for Duke university along our trip in exchange for the loan of the various equipment necessary to gather the data and the rights to post all the collected data to our site for everyone to access. That’s right, free access to important scientific information for everyone, that’s what we believe in.
I also look forward to introducing you to our mascot and official Powder Monkey, Motoko. Please see her log and bio for more information on easily the most adorable member of our crew.
Until next time mates, I leave you with your daily quote.
‘If you wish to travel far and fast, travel light. Take off all your envies, jealousies, unforgiveness, selfishness and fears.’
