A Time to Play and a Time to Work

Winter in Phoenix was nice but it is time to get back to work. We have a new sailboat this year and we are making small changes to our schedule and route but the plan remains the same.
The new sailboat is a 1975 Irwin 30 Competition. I used the Sailboat Listing website to locate her in Boston, Ma for an great price. You can really find good deals on that website.
I am flying into Philadelphia, Pa on Monday to gather the necessary supplies that we will needed over the next one or two weeks. Then Stephen and I will drive to Boston and supply the ship, load our maps into the plotter and strap on the dinghy. I am hoping to set sail on the 28th of this month. It should take 1 to 2 weeks to travel the distance to Olverson’s Lodge Creek Marina in Lodge Creek, Va. depending on luck, weather, currents and the Gods.
1975 – Irwin 30 Competition.
A 30 foot racing sloop with a fin keel and the rudder on skeg. She was built to sail fast and hard.
